Born on June 3, 1926, Allen Ginsberg is known for his poetry. But in addition to writing and performing, he also occasionally doodled.

His drawings appeared on book pages, in journals, and on napkins. As complex and unique as his poetry, they mix Western and Eastern imagery. These are four of the most unusual ones (though the fact that they’re unique and colorful isn’t exactly surprising).
